Therapy:

 

Psychotherapy/Counselling 1h:.............$210

(Applicable for casual sessions or 5+ weeks apart).

Fees may be adjusted if needed for:

- longer term therapy.

- more than one session per week.

- financial hardship/unemployment.

Cancellation Policy

There are costs associated with every booking, making cancellation fees a necessity. 

If you are unable to attend your appointment, there are several ways to avoid fees:

​

  • Switch to a telehealth appointment if only unable to attend in person.

  • Reschedule to an alternative available time within 48 (business) hours.

  • Provide 7 days notice of cancellation. 

​

If none of the above are possible, the following cancellation fees will apply:

2-6 days notice:................50% of fee

Less than 24h notice:......100% of fee

Please Note:

Medicare and private health insurance do not cover cancellation fees.

Rebates

Fee assistance is available from various sources, and may or may not involve a gap fee, depending on the nature of the funding and the service provided.  Please see details below and contact me if you would like further information.

Medicare:

Please see below some information about Medicare rebates, including eligibility and rebates; in most cases a gap fee will be charged, please reach out for more information.

NB: rebates are higher if you have reached the Medicare safety net threshold; If you’re part of a family or couple, you can register as a family to combine your costs, and may reach the threshold sooner. You can check your threshold amount at any time through either your MyGov/Medicare online account or mobile app.

General Mental Health

  • Rebates available with a referral from from a GP under a Mental Health Care Plan.

  • Clients can access up to 10 partially subsidised sessions each calendar year.

  • Individual Counselling/Psychotherapy rebate of $85.20

  • Walk & Talk Therapy rebate of $109.75 can be accessed under the same referral.

Eating Disorders

  • Rebates available with a referral from a GP under an
    Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan.

  • Clients can access up to 40 partially subsidised sessions each calendar year.

  • Individual Counselling/Psychotherapy rebate of $85.20

  • Walk & Talk Therapy rebate of $109.75 can be accessed under the same referral.
     

Chronic Disease

  • Rebates available with a referral from a GP under a GP Managment Plan.

  • Available to people living with a chronic medical condition.

  • Clients can access up to 5 partially subsidised sessions per calendar year.

  • Individual Counselling/Psychotherapy rebate of $60.35

  • Requires a GP referral to a 'mental health worker'.
     

Pregnancy Support Counselling

  • Available to women concerned about a current or previous pregnancy
    (in the last 12 months).

  • Rebate of $70.85 available when referred by a GP.

  • Clients can access up to 3 partially subsidised sessions per pregnancy.

Private Health Insurance (NB: this list is currently being updated).

  • AHM;

  • Bupa;

  • Doctors Health Fund;

  • HCF;

  • GU Health;

  • Medibank;

  • Nurses & Midwives Health;

  • Teachers Health;

  • UniHealth.


> Check with your fund to confirm if you are covered and the amount of rebate.

Other Funding Options:

Redress:

  • Accessed through the National Redress Counselling and Psychological Care Service – Victoria.
     

  • Available for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse.
     

  • Funding for up to 20 sessions per year.

Worksafe Victoria:

  • Counselling fees may be reimbursed if you are injured at work.
     

  • Requires referral from a medical practitioner and prior approval from agent.
     

  • For assistance with a work injury claim call WorkSafe 1800 136 089.
     

  • Rebate: initial session $200.76; Follow up sessions: $179.80 (a gap fee may be charged).

NDIS:

  • Participants that are self-managed or use a plan manager can access my services.
     

  • Billed under  Improved Daily Living Skills - Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - Social Worker (15_603_0118_1_3).
     

  • Rebate: 1 hr therapy session $193.33 (a gap fee may be charged).

TAC -
Transport Accident Commission:

  • Counselling for victims or family members after a transport accident.

​

  • Requires referral from a medical practitioner and written approval from TAC.
     

  • Contact the TAC on 1300 654 329 to assess your eligibility.
     

  • Rebate: 1 hr therapy session $115.07 (a gap fee may be charged).
